Preconstruction Work Progress: We already have the land purchased and the full design plans done by Smies Architects and Associates. We have hired Steve Schmitt, Jos. Schmitt Construction, as our construction manager. We put teh project out for bid on December 13, 2009 and opened the bids publicly at Plymouth City Hall on January 13, 2010. Mr. Schmitt assisted the PIC Building and Site Committee in evaluating the bids and selecting the subcontractors for the project. Contracts are being finalized with these subcontractors now. Construction A ground breaking ceramony was held on April 15, 2010 at the site. Equipment is being ordered and construction should begin on the site May 10th. The building is expected to take eight months to one year to complete. |
